I thought it would be a good idea to help self motivate in order to get all those Buke miniatures I currently have sitting in my book case actually painted.
Now, I have made a start, with painting the Spy Lmt.Ed. miniature which was graciously given to me by my friend in Japan and is proudly sitting there alone in all his glory

And a Daimyo mounted Buke character which is partly painted.
Pics to follow soon....I promise

Good luck for this project. I promise, we will shame you if you're too slow.

Here is the first miniature I painted that would have to be one of the best looking miniatures for Japanese war games ever! Just love this sculpt. When I started, I was thinking which historical clan I would like to paint for the colour scheme for my army. As I live in Mito city in Japan, I thought it would be cool to do a Tokugawa clan, but the mon is just so had to paint and given the amount of banners I would have to do, I gave up on it for a Kensei clan. Perhaps, I will do that theme for a smaller force for Torri.

I don't know why the first image is so big and the other is small. It's a been a long time since posting pics to a forum lol
Sorry for the picture quality as I took them quickly using my smart phone with the mini in the display case. Better pics when I get around to it

Thanks Antonio for your kind words

I do try, but every miniature presents a challenge and I am rarely happy with anything I paint lol very critical of my work. Especially photos which always look terrible lol
Started painting my KS exclusive Kensei this morning.
Will update with pictures this week. She is a lovely mini
