Re: [ENG] Army leaders limit ?

Could you post your list here? I'm pretty curious about it and maybe I see it totally wrong ... :) I wouldnt even say that I have a deeper understanding concerning the game mechanics and balances... I just come from warhammer40k and there single models are most of the time overpowered. But I believe...

Re: [ENG] Army leaders limit ?

I'm not sure about that. I think 1 leader per unit is too much. Some battles in history were thought with 80.000-120.000 men (for examples Tokugawa at Sekigahara)... And now think of one leader per Unit! If you scale that down to 400 points you could have between 4 and 6 units, so this would be arou...

Re: [ENG] Army leaders limit ?

I wondered why it said maximum 4 heroes...
But with the thing you said it does make sense by considering a 400 point army...

But I didnt found it in the rules either. Only the passage talking about minimums.
So it seems to be new!

Re: [BOTH] Ki abilities

Thanks ajmendoza for the example, now it is clear to me! Wasn't sure about the PA-thing, so I wanted to ask. I was a bit confused as well, because on the "actual rulebook" on page 78 stands "heroes have two Ki abilices for example" so I was wondering about the buke taisho! Thought that every hero al...

[BOTH] Ki abilities

I hope you guys can help me once more... I know what a ki ability is and I know how to get one activated. What I dont know is, where can I find the ki ability in the profil. There are some abilities marked with (HP) in the rulebook, but I cant find what this means and permanent abilities should be m...

Re: Show us your Buke army

But using nodachi-samurai especially with their ki-ability against a katana samurai unit seems to be a good plan. so katana samurai may be an allrounder, but could be counterd with a nodachi-samurai unit!

[BOTH] Buke cavalry options

Hey guys! I have some struggle when it comes to the decision, which cavalry unit to choose for my buke army. Buke clan has some different units and I'm not sure which one is the best! I think I want to go with a katana unit, and kiba musha have yumis to, so this sounds great, but the common troop ka...

Re: [BOTH] My gaming table

We had a discussion about that in the other forum. Most people think it wouldnt work quite well, because of the mats thickness. I will try it, but I guess the elevations have to be in top of the mat. And that will lead to the question, how to adapt the outlook of the elevations to the map. Of course...

Re: [BOTH] My gaming table

That table is looking great! Thanks for sharing! :D The ground will be one big piece, but i want to use game mats, so you can exchange the ground. All terrain pieces won't be glued to the ground but on bases, so its some kind of modular. I have another modular, six-tiled table and it sucks somehow, ...

Hello guys, I wanted to share my ongoing experience of creating a gaming table for Kensei/Torrii :D I started this projected two months ago and it hasn't been finished yet. Re: For Honor Samurai

Hard to say... At first...Servers are broke AF. Solo campaign is short, but cool. But this game is truly an online multiplayer game. With many disconnections and stupid players :D BUT... Its a game where Samurai, Vikings and Knights are fighting for land, glory and honor. And the thing is...its very...

Re: [ENG] Units vs Individuals ?

What we tried was to promote the single combat between heroes, not to make heroes capable of erase a unit. And to me this is totally right! Heroes are what they are: mighty warriors on the battlefield! But they are mortal. So they can make a difference in duels but I think their main role on the ba...

Re: Show us your Buke army

For me, dai-katana unit is one of the most beautiful miniatures of Kensei :D Do no apologize please! I am the slowest painter in the world hahaha Yeah I really like them! They look so dynamic! The outlook of that unit forces you to let them charge and throw them into close combat! :D But to me it's...

Re: [ENG] Units vs Individuals ?

Would you say that the game favors the use of full units of soldiers or individual heroes ? Of course, there is a 25% minimum of warriors so there will be some units but with 75% left you have room to build very different armies focusing in one direction or another. As i am more attracted to smalle...

Yeah I'm sorry, I'm a really slow painter, especially when it comes to non-plastic miniatures!
But the dai-katanas are almost finished so stay tuned!
